Simply Intertwined

My name is Virginia M. Galligan and after turning my hobby of writing into something more by finally becoming published in 2009, I felt the urge to start something new, but what? In 2011 I started a new "hobby"--loom knitting. My friend, Sara M., would have weekly "knitting nights" with a friend. At the time, I wasn't interested in knitting. It did not seem like an activity I would enjoy. Then, after being over to her home on non-knitting night and watching her work on a knitted project, I decided to give it a try.

On my way home from her place, I stopped at my at local department store and picked up some supplies--choosing a circular loom knitting kit and some different colors of yarn. I knew "regular knitting" wasn't for me at that time. Sara M. was both happy and encouraging of my new hobby, even though she is a "regular knitter". Then a strange thing happened, I got hooked!

Soon I was making some hats and scarves. Then, I purchased straight looms to make shawls, bags and baby blankets with, along with other projects that I am currently learning to make now. As Sara M. said, knitting can be relaxing...and it is!
